Internet of Production open standards & tools
Andrew Lamb
The Internet of Production Alliance has developed a series of open standards and tools for: sharing hardware designs and documentation (known as ‘Open Know-How); sharing the geographic location of machines and facilities to make things (known as ‘Open Know-Where’); a people & skills specification for recognising the skills needed to make things, and; a distributed contracting system. We will be able to present each of these and demo the tools at our table… tools including: the Open Hardware Engine developed by Nathan Parker; the Open Search Eco-system developed by Open-Source Ecology Germany, and; the World Map of Machines.
