BrailleRAP is an open hardware Braille embosser. Derivated from 3d printer, it use a Braille stylus at the end of a solenoid instead of an hotend to emboss paper or some different kind of materials like alumunium sheets, plastic sheets, even banana leafs. Design at the start to emboss Braille alphabet, you can use BrailleRAP to emboss vector graphics by embossing close dots along path. Designed to be built in a fablab with basic tools (3d printer and a optional laser cutter) with easily affordable parts, BrailleRAP as been succesfully reproduce nearly all over the world. Since the start of the project, we collaborated with blind peoples. And the last 2 years, we have started to work with institutions, Museum and schools in France.
