Maker Emergency Kits & Friends

Victoria Wenzelmann Timm Wille, Susan Long

Natural disasters, wars, and pandemics are recurring conditions that expose the fragility of centralized supply chains and platform-dependent coordination. In response, Maker Emergency Kits (working title) explores preparedness not as individual stockpiling, but as a shared, solidarity-based capability: the ability to manufacture, repair, coordinate, and adapt locally when systems fail. We invite participants to engage with an open, evolving concept rather than a finished solution. We are part of an ecosystem, so this table is shared with Bucerius Law School who will offer an Ask Me Anything session; with Oskar Lidtke and the orcuScooter, a sustainable open source scooter; with FAIR IT and their computer mouse; and many others.
