Sound of the Wood

Wood is natural, renewable, affordable, and easy to shape, ideal for experimental sound hardware. This project explores accessible sound works in wood through three connected pieces: Driftwood, a percussive instrument performed at LittlefieldNYC; Taptap, a DIY wooden instrument toolkit; and The Chimes, an indoor chime powered by real-time wind data.
