windkit - the hackable wind turbine
windkit is an open-source small wind turbine designed to be repairable, hackable, and locally manufacturable. By combining industry standards with accessible documentation, windkit empowers communities to build, operate, and maintain their own renewable energy systems. We are currently participating in the LAUDS* Replication Call and, in parallel, collecting performance data from our test-site installation. At the upcoming summit, we will present our latest findings and developments within the windkit ecosystem. At the event, we will set up a fully functional wind turbine system and showcase key components including our datalogger, charger, and security box. To top it off, we’ll run a live demonstration by directing a blower at the windkit turbine — expect spinning blades, live performance data and energy ⚡🙂
