An open source hardware design review platform
Moritz Maxeiner
It hooks into the version controlled development process often used by creators (currently: git) to automatically run open source hardware compliance checks (currently: osh-tool) and optionally generate documenation (currently: GitBuilding). This is controlled by the platform operator, which could be an open source hardware community or a university library. Once a sufficient level of compliance has been reached, creators may request a manual design review, which for now is designed to follow the general review-rebuttal process of academic journals. After passing this manual design review phase, the results can be archived or (after exporting) forwarded to an academic journal for final publication.
