Desire Line Design

Hilary Predko & Daemon Baliski

I am building a set of learning resources around using CNC machines (primarily routers, laser cutters, and 3D printers) to create finely crafted objects using more traditional media (primarily wood and ceramics). Inspired by Hannah Perner-Wilson’s iconic How To Get What You Want resources for e-textiles, Computer Numerical Craft documents experimental techniques for CNC machines aimed at artists and designers. I plan to display works and related tooling documenting my experimentation around CNC routing for woodworking applications and 3D printing for slip casting ceramics. Several furniture and joinery projects will be documented with plans available for attendees. I will produce a zine that documents some techniques and shares the work of other creators I am excited about.
