HILO Spinning Lab is an open-source textile platform enabling decentralized yarn production. We developed the first open-source spinning machine, providing accessible tools for independent textile processing. Combining modular machines, material research, and hands-on experimentation, HILO empowers communities to transform local fibers into yarn while fostering distributed manufacturing and collaborative knowledge sharing.
