Open Source MRI demo at the PTB Berlin

May 22, 2026 @ 2:00 PM - 12:31 PM GMT+2
Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Meeting point Anna-von-Helmholtz Building Marchstr. 12, 10587 Berlin
Organized by Open Source MRI, Lukas Winter
Info

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the most powerful diagnostic imaging technologies available today. We are proud to present a mobile, open-source version of one of the most advanced medical imaging systems used in modern hospitals.

During the tour, we will introduce the OSI2 ONE — our open-source low-field MRI scanner. You will learn how MRI works, how images are generated, and how our system compares to a commercial 3T MRI scanner that we use on-site for research.

The OSI2 ONE is currently being reproduced by a growing global community, and we are actively working toward translating these developments into clinical practice to enable accessible MRI imaging globally.
